Alka Mae Delong Boggs, age 88, of Flat Gap, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at her home. Alka was born April 8, 1932 to late Curtis and Nora Honeycutt Delong. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Walter Boggs, one daughter Debbie Adkins, two sons Burt Boggs and Jerry Boggs, three brothers Seldon Delong, Doug Delong and Orville Delong, two sisters Imogene Carter and Alene Hyden.

She is survived by one sister, Juanita Litteral, four sons, Roger Boggs of Northern, Kentucky, Walter Boggs, Jr of Flat Gap, Kentucky, Larry Ray Boggs of Floyd County, Kentucky, and Ricky Edward Boggs of River, Kentucky; one daughter, Orragon McCoy of Flat Gap, Kentucky; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2020 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
