Alma Sue Owens Pulliam, age 80 of Ulysses, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at her home.

Sue was born July 9, 1944 in Floyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ernest and Vada Ratliff Owens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Pulliam; son, Jonathon Harris; four brothers, Arnold Owens, Kenneth Paul Owens, John Albert Owens, and Donald Ray Owens; and three sisters, Patty Collins, Tommy Carol Goble, and Donna Lynn Clark.

Sue is survived by two sons, Rickey Harris of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Dwayne Harris of Alabama; one daughter, Paula (Allen Dale) McCarty of Ulysses, Kentucky; one honorary daughter, Bunny Caudill of Auxier, Kentucky; two brothers, Ellery Owens of Alabama and Terry Owens of Florida; eleven grandchildren, Tosha Harris, Savannah Harris, Genna Connelley, Lindsey Perkins, Jamie (Todd) Church, Tyler (Natessa) McCarty, Dustin (Emily) McCarty, Keyonna (Steven) McCarty, Tyler Stephens, and Jonah Stephens; and eleven great grandchildren, Lexi Harris, Aleena Harris, Fantashia Mullins, Keira Mullins, Kendrick McCarty, Jesse Russell, Spencer McCarty, Declan McCarty, Skylar Russell, Wesley McCarty, and Emery Jane Rice.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Donnie Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025
