Amma Hyden Vaughan, age 85, of East Point, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 23, 2022 at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Amma was born June 17, 1937 in Dewey, Kentucky, daughter of the late Otto Hyden and Elsie DeLong Hyden.

Amma is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jack Vaughan whom she married November 14, 1955. To this union were born three daughters, Deborah (Jake) Kestner of East Point, Kentucky, Sandy (Greg) Howard and Lisa (Mike) Jarrell all of Van Lear, Kentucky.

Also surviving are three brothers, Donald Ray Hyden of East Point, Kentucky, E. Frank (Yuvonne) Hyden of Walland, Tennessee and Otto (Kathy) Hyden, Jr. of Hager Hill, Kentucky; two sisters, Alta (Jerry) Rayl of Ada, Ohio and Reba (Gary) Combs of Maryville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Timothy Jason (Morgan) Kestner, Chris (Nikki) Vaughan, Amy (Shane) Kestner, Nick (Tisha) Jarrell, and Caleb (Lisa) Howard; eleven great grandchildren, Courtney, Madison, Jocylen, Ethan, Bryson, Sadie, Brynlee, Izabella, Lannea, Jaxon, and Jakob Kyle; one great-great grandchild, Arya; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Aaron Davis and Bobby Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2022 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
