Andrew Oaks, Jr., age 72, of Johnson City, Tennessee, formerly of Johnson County, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020.

Andrew was born October 9, 1947 in Estill County, Kentucky, son of the late Andrew and Inis Roger Oaks. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Oaks and one brother, Willie J. Oaks.

He is survived by one sister, Christy DuVall of Pottsville, Arkansas; one brother, Jerry Oaks of East Point, Kentucky; special caregiver, Orville Oaks and special great niece, Clarah Oaks both of Johnson City, Tennessee; two nieces, Tina DuVall of Arkansas and Jennifer Oaks Horsley of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; and three nephews, Bryan DuVall and Kevin Duvall of Arkansas and Jerry Oaks II of West Van Lear, Kentucky.

Andrew was a graduate of Lee County High School and a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2020 in the Oaks Family Cemetery, Estill County, Kentucky with Toby Johnson officiating. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2020.
