Arlan Isaac, age 85, of Van Lear, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Highlands ARH, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Arlan was born August 9, 1937 in Floyd County, Kentucky, son of the late Athur Isaac and Bessie Gibson Isaac. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ivan, Willis, and Buster Isaac and two sisters, Patricia Burke and Shirlene Caudill.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Lou Isaac; one son, Shawn Arlan Isaac of Portsmouth, Ohio; one daughter, Jill Veronica Imes of Flatwoods, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Emma Grace Imes of Lexington, Kentucky; two brothers, Tony Isaac and Gregory Isaac and one sister, Geraldine "Gerry" Ledford of Dayton, Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2023 at First Baptist Church with Seth Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation on Monday, July 24, 2023 will be at First Baptist Church from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
