Barbara Sue Caldwell Dale, age 78, of Sitka, Kentucky passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Barbara worked for several years at Paintsville Sav-A-Lot.

Barbara was born March 9, 1943 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Q. Caldwell and Flora Ratliff Caldwell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dale, Jr., two sisters, Betty Meade and Molly Carter.

She is survived by one son, Christopher R. (Janet) Dale of Hustonville, Kentucky; one daughter, Penny L. (Teddy) Palmer of Lousia, Kentucky; two brothers, Billy Caldwell of Ohio and Bobby Caldwell of Stambaugh, Kentucky; one sister, Shirlene Clark of Sabastian, Florida; three grandchildren, Mikie (Brittany) Dale, Dylan Meadows, and Jordan Meadows; and two great grandchildren, Weston Dale and Eva Grace Dale.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie and Roger Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at the Caldwell Family Cemetery, Stambaugh, Kentucky. Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022.
