We celebrate the life of our beloved hero, Beatrice Irene Ratliff, better known as "Granny," who has entered the arms of our Lord and Savior on November 2nd,2025, at 5:25 p.m. She was born on November 26, 1936. Beatrice was born to the late Hazel "Conley" Picklesimer and Rodney Picklesimer in Paintsville, KY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul May Jr., the father of her children; her second husband, Robert Lee Ratliff, whom she loved and cherished; one beloved daughter, Tammy Lynn May; and one brother, Bob Picklesimer.

She survives with three daughters, Cathy (Tim) Green of Thelma, Ky., Deloris May of Thelma, Ky., and Amie (Tim) May of Royal Oak, MI. Two sons, Ronnie (Mary) Cantrell, Prestonsburg, Ky, and Paul Eddie May of Ypsilanti, MI. Six grandkids: Kerry Jo (Chris) Slone, Rhonda Cantrell, Jason (Jennifer) Cantrell, Kayla (Jonathan) Powell, Casey ( Jayson) Vanhoose, and Brandon May. Thirteen great grandkids: Allison (Darren) Wood, Veronica (Dylan) Simpkins, Preston Slone, Emma Slone, Chloe Vanhoose, Jaxon Borders, Ava Cantrell, Anna Kate Cantrell, Piper Vanhoose, Kaitlyn Riley, Katie (David) Collings, Hope Hollan, Coby Hollan. Three great-great-grandkids: August Wood, Beau Simpkins, and Michael Collings. Granny will be missed by a host of family, friends, and church family as she made an effect on so many different people along her journey in this life. One thing is sure: to know Granny was to hear of her love and faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
