Visitation: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024, and 9:00 a.m. until time-of-service at 12:00 noon Friday, October 11, 2024, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.

Bernice Tackett, age 55, of Meally, Kentucky, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 7, 2024.

Bernice was born on July 24, 1969 in Johnson County Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her life companion Jimmy Click as well as her parents Paul Tackett and Elsie Stapleton Tackett. As well as one brother Maurice Tackett and two sisters Pauline Depriest and Teresa Field.

She is survived by her three kids Samantha (Jake) Hodge of Kermit WV, Matthew coots, and Dustin Tackett both of Meally Ky. She also has 4 grandchildren Matthew Hodge, Christopher Baisden, Brently Baisden, and Payden Hodge all of Kermit Wv. She also has one sister living, Brenda Kimbler of Thelma Ky. She also had a very special friend Paisley Trusty. As well as a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins and loads of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon on Friday, October 11, 2024, in Jones-Preston Chapel. Friends may call at Jones-Preston Funeral Home, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.; and Friday, October 11, 2024, 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon, at Jones- Preston Funeral Home.
