Berta Sue Holbrook Castle, age 68, of Hager Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Highlands ARH.

Berta was born July 12, 1953 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Thomas Dee and Ethel Lois Skaggs Holbrook. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter in law, Patricia Castle.

She is survived by her husband, John Castle; two sons, Sean Michael Castle and wife Amanda of Van Lear, Kentucky and Jimmy Castle and wife Tammy of Paintsville, Kentucky; one sister, Linda Fyffe of Martha, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Michael Sean, James Thomas, Tyler Blanton, Jordan Blanton, Logan Haney, and Madilynn Powers; and close friend Jenny Powers.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 12:00 Noon.
