Burial: Caldwell Family Cemetery, Stambaugh, Kentucky

Betty Ann Meade, age 70 of Stambaugh, KY; passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at Prestonsburg Health Care.

She was born February 5, 1950 in Johnson County, KY, daughter of the late John Q. Caldwell and Flora Ratliff Caldwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Garry Meade, one sister, Molly Carter and one grandson, Jarett Robert.

She is survived by one son, Wendell Ray Meade and wife Debbie of Stambaugh, KY;  one daughter, Melissa Ann Childers and husband Richard of Stambaugh, KY; two brothers, Billy Caldwell of South Bloomfield, Ohio, Bobby Caldwell of Stambaugh, KY; two sisters, Barbara Dale of Sitka, KY; Shirlene Clark of Melbourne, FL;  five grandchildren, Jonathon, Devin, Trenton, Trey and Ashley and one great granddaughter, Kendyl also survive.

Betty was a substitute school teacher and homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jimmy VanHoose and Jim McKenzie officiating.  Burial will follow in the Caldwell Family Cemetery at Stambaugh, KY. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
