Burial: Auxier Family Cemetery, East Point, Kentucky

Betty Jo King, age 89, of Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away at Mountain Manor, on Monday, October 14, 2024.

Betty was born October 27, 1934, in Pike County, Kentucky, the daughter, of the late Cecil DeBoard and Maxie Kinney DeBoard. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Paul King; two brothers Cecil DeBoard and Johnny DeBoard; three sisters, Ruth Mercer, Dicie Yates, and Susie Thacker.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathye H. Auxier of East Point, Kentucky; one brother, Jimmy Deboard, of Pikeville, Kentyucky; two grandchildren, Jayme Billiter and Emily Carter; five great-grandchildren, Andrew Preston, Brody Carter, Bentley Carter, Bailey Carter and Barrett Carter.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Burial will follow at Auxier Family Cemetery, East Point, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024 and 12:00 Noon until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024.
