Betty Helen McCoy Dollarhide, aged 90, formerly of Van Lear, passed away Thursday, December 19th, 2024, in Summerfield, FL.

Betty was born October 18, 1934, in Dickerson County, Virginia to the late Verda Newsome and Benjamin Harrison McCoy. In addition to her parents and stepfather Waclaw Platkus, she is preceded in death by her husband Clyde Russell Dollarhide, two son Charles Edward and Ricky Dean Dollarhide and one granddaughter Isabel Dollarhide and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by sons Clyde Dennis (Alice) of Van Lear, KY, Kenneth Ray Sr Summerfield, FL, Rodney Lee Dollarhide (June) Belleview, FL. Six Grandchildren Clyde Dennis (Jr), Jennifer Marie Burke (Randy), Chester Micheal (Melissa Jo), Kimberly Dawn Gallup (Rob), Trinity and Kenneth Ray Jr Dollarhide. Five great grandchildren James Tyler, Jacob Issac Dollarhide, Chole Ann Dollarhide and Alexys and Aaralyn Gallup and 1 great-great grandchild Jackson James Dollarhide. Brothers Sonny Platkus (Wilma) of Fort Wayne, Indiana and brothers Eli McCoy, Wilbur Lee McCoy, Bill Griffith of Hurley, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 30th, 2024, at Enterprise Baptist Church in Van Lear. Burial to follow at Webb-Butcher cemetery, Van Lear, KY. Friends may visit the Enterprise Baptist church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
