Betty June Salyer, 94, formerly of Johnson County, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Berger Health System in Circleville, Ohio.

Born on May 28, 1932, in Johnson County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Garfield O'Bryan and Esta Woods O'Bryan. Betty was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a longtime member of Heritage Free Will Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio, where her faith was an important part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brooksie Salyer, as well as a number of brothers and sisters.

Betty is survived by her loving daughters, Bettina (Gregory) Bryant of Staffordsville, Kentucky, and Kimberly (Durk) Peters of Circleville, Ohio; one brother, Billy J. (Wanda) O'Bryan of Paris, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Erin (Matthew) Bailey, Adam (Kayla) Bryant, and Kait Peters; five great-grandchildren, Connor Bailey, Wade Bailey, Maddox Bryant, Maddie Bryant, and Norah Bryant; along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:30 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the O'Bryan Family Cemetery in Staffordsville with Tim Stout and Ben Stephens officiating. Interment will follow. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 11 A.M. until 12 P.M.
