Betty Rose Trimble Reed, age 93, of Flat Gap, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born on October 23, 1932, in Johnson County to the late Daniel Boone and Rosa Lemaster Trimble. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elder Arnold Reed; one daughter, Rhonda Renae Reed; three brothers: William L. Trimble, Byron Douglas Trimble, and Daniel Boone Trimble Jr.; four sisters: Loretta Reed, Emojean Benson, Lucille Trimble, and Dorothy Evelan Trimble.

Betty is survived by one son, Jeffrey Arnold (Jeanne) Reed of Flat Gap and a host of nieces and nephews that she shared a special bond with

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 6, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Sam Reed officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral services at 1:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the Fish Trap United Baptist Church or Bluegrass Care Navigators.
