Billie Ruth Elkins Meek, age 90, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Johnson County, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Billie was born August 23, 1932 in Floyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ned Elkins and Irene Layne Elkins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Meek, two brothers, Jack Elkins and Von Elkins and one sister, Joan Keathley.

She is survived by one daughter, Paula Jones and husband Michael of Knoxville, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Miranda VanHoose; one brother, Robert Elkins of Frankfort, Kentucky; and one sister, Lana Stott of Morristown, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Friday, September 23, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Bryan Auxier officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel Friday, September 23, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 Noon.
