Bill Burns Baker, age 83 of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Highlands ARH.

Bill was born October 9, 1938 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Charlie Ray Baker and Nannie Lillian Borders Baker.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Baker, one son, Carl Sergent, two brothers, Jim Baker and Mike Baker, and one son-in-law, Jerry Pelfrey.

He is survived by four sons, Billy Ray (Michelle) Baker of Tutor Key, Kentucky, Larry (Beatrice) Sergent of Paintsville, Kentucky, Eddie (Karen) Sergent of Paintsville, Kentucky, and Michael (Jamie) Sergent of Paintsville, Kentucky, three daughters, Connie Pelfrey of Paintsville, Kentucky, Teresa (Jim) Ratliff of Staffordsville, Kentucky and Dede Sergent of Paintsville, Kentucky, one brother, Robert "Tittle" (Alice) Baker of Offutt, Kentucky, one sister, Juanita (Cliff) Middaugh) of Paintsville, Kentucky, one daughter-in-law, Tracey Sergent of Oil Springs, Kentucky, and one sister-in-law, Zondra Baker of Staffordsville, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Hubert Slone officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky.  Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Friday, December 10, 2021, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
