Billy Vern Conley, age 84, of Thelma, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Huntington VA Medical Center.

Billy was born September 13, 1939 in Johnson County, Kentucky son of the late Vern and Myrtle McFaddin Conley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six brothers, Robert Earl Conley, Clifford Conley, Harold Conley, Geroge Conley, Charles Conley, and Paul Conley; and two sisters, Joann VanHoose and Betty Stapleton.

He is survived by special grandnephew, William Bradley Austin and grandniece, Anna Grace Austin; and a host of additional nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Larry Blair, Gary Blair and Jim McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024, 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2024.

Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV.
