Billy Roger Cure age 78, of Sitka, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 at Paintsville ARH.

Billy was born March 19, 1946 in Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late Cecil Cure and Sarah Potter Cure. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Jean Cure Stewart, two brothers, Johnny Cure and Stevie Cure and one sister, Ruby Cure.

He is survived by his loving wife, 57 years, Phyllis Jean Justice Cure of Sitka, Kentucky; two sons Billy (Leah Ann) Cure, Jr of Sitka, Kentucky and Conner Hayden of Sitka, Kentucky; one son-in-law, Donnie Stewart, Sitka, Kentucky, three bothers, Cecil Cure, Jr, Gary Wayne Cure of Chicago, Illinois and  Leslie Cure of Rutledge, TN,  one sister Stella Faye Cure Rogo of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren, Nathan Stewart, Matthew Stewart, Trista Stewart and Lauren Faith Cure; and one great grandson, Nathan Garrett Stewart.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Danny Ward and Kevin Hazelett officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024.
