Billy Ray Jarrell, age 76, of Hager Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at his home.

Billy was born September 21, 1944 in Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late Erschel Jarrell and Oma Lee Riddle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Billy Jarrell, Jr., one daughter, Laura Barker, and one son-in-law, Steve Neeley.

He is survived by two sons, Anthony Ray Jarrell and wife Angela of Springdale, Arkansas and John Courtney Jarrell and wife Jeanette of Elkhart, Indiana; three daughters, Donna McQueen and husband Larry of Portage, Indiana, Melissa Jarrell of Valparaiso, Indiana and Mary Neeley of Portage, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, Brittany McQueen, Marissa Tamietto, Tiana McQueen, Kimberly Jarrell, Lynette Jarrell, Rebekah Jarrell, Logan Jarrell, Herbie Ray Barker, Zachary Barker, Joseph Jarrell, Joshua Jarrell, Gladia Rose Jarrell, and Emily Grace Jarrell; and nine great grandchildren, Ania Uszko, Emmett Tamietto, Mila Uszko, Owen Tamietto, Oliver Charo, Arden Tamietto, Gracie Barker, Rylan Barker, and Sebastian Barker.

Memorial service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Pastor Matthew Craft officiating. There will be no visitation prior to memorial service.
