Bob Gene Stewart, age 91, of Tutor Key, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Mountain Manor of Paintsville.

He was born on April 20, 1935, in Ashland to the late Greenville and Nora McKinley Stewart. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two wives: Janice McKenzie Phillips and Margie Pelphrey; one son, Jeffrey Todd Stewart; two brothers: Gary Stewart and Green Stewart; and three sisters: Loretta Curtis, Dorothy Johns, and Lola Mae Stewart.

Bob was the retired code enforcement officer for the City of Paintsville. Before his tenure with the city, he served his country proudly in the United States Army.

Survivors include one son, Kerry Lee Stewart of Georgetown; one daughter-in-law, Janet Stewart of Morehead; one sister, Mary (Thomas) Williams of Ashland, along with seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 P.M. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.  Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of the funeral services at 1 P.M.
