Bonnie Messer Tackett, age 90, of West Van Lear, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Paintsville ARH.

Bonnie was born March 26, 1933 in Knott County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Beecher Messer and Eliza Jane Robinson Messer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harvie Tackett; son, Kenneth Terry; daughter, Emily Terry; two grandchildren, Clay Terry and Tiffany Lynn Terry; and siblings, John D. Messer, Martha Messer, Hazel Hicks, Goldie Porkop, Anna Music, and Hillard "Bud" Messer.

She is survived by three sons, Dexter Terry of West Van Lear, Kentucky, Clarence Terry of Flat Gap, Kentucky and Larry Davis of Staffordsville, Kentucky; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Toby Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
