Brenda Kay Porter Adams, age 64, formerly of Johnson County, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Brenda was born August 20, 1956 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Eddie V. and Olga Wells Porter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Danny Lee Porter, Johnny Porter, Chester Porter and Jeff Porter and five sisters, Mary Ruth May, Emma Gallant, Dimple Spradlin, Bessie Christopher, Dorothy Handy.

She is survived by one son, Corey Porter of Johnson County, Kentucky; two daughters, Nicole Smith and Misty Hamilton both of Pikeville, Kentucky; one brother, Eddie Porter, Jr.; four sisters, Nellie Reed, Julia Reffett, Martha Porter, and Connie Caldwell; ten grandchildren, Darren, Joseph, Cameron, Matthew, Brooklynn, Dalton, Brandon, Andrew Brittney, and Justin; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2020 in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2020.
