Bryan Barber, 97, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away on June 24, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.

He was born August 8, 1923 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Lewis Henry Barber and Sarah Francis "Patty" Spradlin Barber.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Grace Kerns Barber, one son-in-law, Richard Henry Potter II; three sisters, Blanche Daniels, Doris Wheeler, and Phyllis McKenzie and by two grandchildren, Tanya Potter Bailey and Richard Henry Potter III.

Bryan is survived by four children, Donna Potter of Dudley, North Carolina, Connie (James) Phelps of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tim (Joann) Barber of Staffordsville, Kentucky, and Deborah (Paul David) McKenzie of Paintsville; four grandchildren, Amy Phelps of Franklin, Indiana, Melissa (Tommy) Estep of Noblesville, Indiana, Eric Potter of Dudley, North Carolina and Matthew (Charity) Barber of Madisonville, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Douglas (Madge) Kerns of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with James Phelps officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, KY.   Friends may call at Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until of service at 3:00 p.m.
