Burns Lee Ratliff, age 72, of Chestnut Road, Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Kings Daughters Medical Center.

Burns was born May 15, 1950 in Lawrence County, Kentucky, son of the late Hobert K. Ratliff and Dixie Thelma VanHoose Ratliff. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Kay VanHoose Ratliff, two brothers, Billy Joe Ratliff and James Hubert Ratliff and one sister, Phyllis Jean Howard.

He is survived by two sons, Duane (Diane) Ratliff of Harold, Kentucky and Mark (Jill) Ratliff of West Bend, Wisconsin; five daughters, Lisa Bowen of Winchester, Ohio, Leah (Tony) Adkins of Delaware, Ohio, Tessa Ratliff of Louisa, Kentucky, Kimberlyl (Joe) Blevins of Warfield, Kentucky, and Andrea (Dewayne) Davis of Paintsville, Kentucky; one brother, Paul Hansel Howard of Louisa, Kentucky; nineteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at the Wheeler Cemetery, Chestnut Road, Chestnut, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9. 2022.
