Callis Kelly, age 91, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Paintsville ARH.

Callis was born June 10, 1932 in Morgan County, Kentucky, son of the late Charlie Kelly and Mertie Fyffe Kelly. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Ricky Allen Kelly.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Judy Pelphrey Kelly whom he married on December 6, 1952; daughter in law, Patty Kelly of Nicholasville, Kentucky; one brother, Maxwell (Fran) Kelly of Flat Gap, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jesse (Christa) Kelly of Georgetown, Kentucky, Jenny (Matt) Moss of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Michael Kelly of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Mary Beth (Freddy) Ruiz of Nicholasville, Kentucky; and six great grandchildren, Luke, Selena, Freddie, Noah, Callis Ray, and Charlee.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2023 in the First Baptist Church Paintsville with Seth Carter and James Kelly Caudill officiating. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 and 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon Sunday, November 12, 2023. Callis will lie in state one hour prior to funeral service at First Baptist Church Paintsville, Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Masonic service will be conducted Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
