Carl McCarty, age 90, of Oil Springs, KY passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at his home.

Carl was born March 22, 1930 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Clifton McCarty and Della Gullett McCarty. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Evelyn Charlene Daniels; two brothers, Jimmie Dorton McCarty, Emarald McCarty; three sisters, Ruby McCarty Conley, Hettie McCarty and Ruth McCarty.

He is survived by his wife, Evelene Stapleton McCarty; one son, Jimmie Leon McCarty of Oil Springs, KY; two daughters, Ruby Darlene Pennington of Ashland, KY, Dorothy Carlene Mick of Chester, VA; nine grandchildren Kristie, Joey, Benji, Heather, Jonathan, Jennifer, Thomas, Ashley and Jason and ten great-grandchildren Kayley, Isaac, Ruby, Tucker, Levi, Ian, Leah, Parker, Gage, Emery.

Private funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Frank Blevins and Ray McCarty officiating. Burial will follow at the McCarty Cemetery, Oil Springs, Kentucky.   There will be no public visitation.

Per the Governor's mandates, anyone attending the Private Visitation, Funeral service, Memorial service, or Graveside/Committal services are limited to 25 people total and face covering of some type required for everyone.
