Carol Mace Stapleton, age 76, passed away on November 25, 2025. She was born on November 29, 1948, in Richwood, WV to Alvin and Jatama Mace.

Carol is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herbert Stapleton Jr.

Carol devoted her life to her family as a loving wife and mother and was a cherished friend to many. Her kindness and caring nature touched everyone she met. She worked as a registered dietitian for more than 10 years, improving countless lives through her compassion and expertise. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carol's gentle spirit, strength, and selfless love will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jennifer Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Friday, December 5, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
