Burial: Blair Family Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky

Charles Eldon Blair, age 79, of Oil Springs, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Charles was born December 7, 1943, in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Turrell and Iva Joy Blair. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Lowell Blair and Joe McKeil Blair and one sister, Jeanetta Dean Blair.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Caudill Blair; three daughters, Kathy Jo (Jimmy) Music of River, Kentucky, Teresa Ann Blanton and Charlena Lou (Darren) Gamble both of Oil Springs, Kentucky; two brothers, Rutherford Blair of Oil Springs, Kentucky and Ottis Blair of Staffordsville, Kentucky; three sisters, Garnett Lou Jackson and Phyllis Sue Blair both of Staffordsville, Kentucky and Sharon Colvin of Denver, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Jenna) Blanton, Colby (Alyssa) Blanton, Aaron (Mandy) Music, Blake (Kayla) Gamble, Andrew Music, Chloie Gamble, Claire Gamble; four great grandchildren, Remi Kate, Lucas Rayce, Charli Beth; and expecting great granddaughter, Lydia Blake, January 2024.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023, in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Elders Paul Keith Castle, Danny Williams, Sammy Reed and Jerry Colvin,  officiating. Burial will follow at Blair Family Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2023, and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023.
