Charles H. "Chuck" Centers, age 76, of Tutor Key, KY, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 22, 2025, at his home with his wife at his side.

He was born on October 24, 1949, in Paintsville to the late Willard Hurt and Daisy Arms. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers.

On September 10, 1994, he married Peggy Branham Centers, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son: Brian (Paulette) Centers of Van Lear, one step-son: Ty (Holly) Martin of Frankfort, two daughters: Janna "Nikki" Blanton of Paintsville, Chastity Sparks of Lexington, one brother: Ed (Joyce) Hurt of Wooster, OH, a very special friend: Kathy Joyce Daniels, six grandchildren: Kaden, Keaton, Molly, Collin, Nora, Kase, three great-grandchildren: Truett, Colton, Annabel, three bonus grandchildren: Wesley, Kinley, Kanton, as well as a host of family and friends.

Chuck served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Auto Body technician and a member of the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church. Chuck loved giving back to his community and was instrumental in the development of Thealka Park. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 A.M., Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Centers Family Cemetery at Tutor Key. The Auxier Chapter 18 DAV will conduct Full Military Honors.  Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until the time of funeral services at 11 A.M.
