Charles Edward VanHoose, age 80 of West Van Lear, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Pikeville Medical Center.

Charles was born February 12, 1942 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Willie Green VanHoose and Anna Lee Music VanHoose.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Willie Douglas VanHoose and five sisters, Martha Louise, Hazel Irene, Mary Opal, Sarah Irene, and Joyce Ann.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Douglas VanHoose of McArthur, OH and Samuel VanHoose of Logan, OH; two brothers, Randall VanHoose of Vonore, TN and Jerry VanHoose of West Van Lear, KY; two sisters, Shelby Jean Baker, of Charleston, WV and Alice Moss VanHoose of Vonore, TN; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Clark-Castle Cemetery, Nippa, Kentucky.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022.
