Christa Lynn McCloud Schmitt, 72 of Lexington died peacefully in her home on October 1st, 2020.

She was born October 13th, 1947 in Paintsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles and Reta McCloud. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Scotty and Mike McCloud.

Christa is survived by her husband, Michael J. Schmitt, one son, Joseph Schmitt of Paintsville: two daughters, Kimberly Cooley of Louisville and Kelly Colvin of Paintsville; a sister, Judy Delong of Hager Hill; and seven grandchildren.

Christa was a loving wife and mother and a faithful member of Mayo Memorial United Methodist Church.  A memorial service will be conducted at the church on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. with visitation from 2:00-3:00 P.M.
