Clyde Roy Pack, age 87, of Franklin, TN, formerly of Paintsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at The Reserve in Springhill, TN.

He was born on April 10, 1939, in Paintsville to the late Willie and Julia Baldridge Pack. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jean Penix Pack; three brothers: Ralph Ulysses Pack, Hubert Pack, and Ernest Pack; and two sisters: Goldia Belle Osborne and Mary Jean Caudill.

Clyde is survived by one son, Clifton Todd (Marcy) Pack of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren: Alison Laura Pack, Owen William Pack; one brother: Joe Pack; and a host of nieces, nephews, family friends, former students, and colleagues.

Clyde was a devoted retired teacher, having taught at both Meade Memorial and Paintsville City Schools. After his time teaching, he enjoyed submitting articles to the Paintsville Herald, where the community looked forward to his weekly submissions.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Saturday, September 5, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home, with Brian Auxier officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 2 P.M. until the time of the funeral service at 3 P.M. on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library by care of the Dollywood Foundation- 111 E. Main St. Second Floor Sevierville, TN 37862.
