Colene Williams Salyer, age 61 of Sitka, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky.

Colene was born January 6, 1959 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late James and Mary Lou Burns Williams. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Owen Salyer.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Salyer of Paintsville, Kentucky and Stephen Salyer of Sitka, Kentucky; one daughter, Melissa Wireman of River, Kentucky; four brothers, Eugene Williams of Staffordsville, Kentucky, James T. Williams of Marysville, Ohio, Harold Williams of Paintsville, Kentucky and Dennis Williams of Danville, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty Picklesimer of Tutor Key, Kentucky and Magilene Robinette of Staffordsville, Kentucky; and one grandson, Michael J. Salyer.

Private funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with James Kelly Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Private visitation will be at Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020.

Per the Governor's mandates, ALL services are to be Private. Private Visitation, Private Funeral or Memorial Service and Private Graveside/Committal services and are limited to 25 people total and face covering of some type required for everyone.
