Cordell Clouse, age 83, of Oil Springs, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Cordell was born December 18, 1942 in McDowell, Kentucky, son of the late Luther Clouse and Anna Lee Daniels Clouse.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanetta Phipps Clouse whom he married on May 19, 1988; one son, Eugene (Milinda) Lemaster of Staffordsville, Kentucky; four daughters, Kayla Michelle (James) Staniford of Nippa, Kentucky, Jennifer (Scott) Long of Oil Springs, Kentucky, Shelly Clouse of Hyden, Kentucky, and Tammy (Kevin) Snyder of Tennessee; one brother, Danny Clouse of Paintsville, Kentucky; one sister, Glendora VanHoose of Paintsville, Kentucky; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Kevin Hazelett officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Friday, April 24, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Cordell served his country in the US Army, a Vietnam War Veteran and served two tours in Vietnam.

Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV.
