Burial: Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville Kentucky

Crystal Maxine Penix age 84, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at King Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.

Crystal was born August 21, 1938 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Cline Blanton and Lou Anna McCarty Blanton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Nevelyn Jean Fitc h, Mary Margaret VanHoose and Jodi Powers.

She is survived by one son, Neal Burchett and wife Brenda of Nippa, Kentucky; one daughter, Deborah Sublett and husband Doug of Sitka, Kentucky; one sister, Lillian Joyce Williams of Pinkerton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ryan Neal Burchett and wife Nicole, Paul Derrick Sublett and wife Savannah, Shaun Eric Burchett and wife Helen and Kyle Douglas Sublett and wife Ashley; eight great grandchildren, Drake (Emily), Jackson, Michael, Connor, Kyleigh, Brayleigh, Easton, and Embree; and one great-great grandchild, Bentley.

Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Tom's Creek Free Will Baptist Church with James Kelly Caudill and Tim Case officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Tom's Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
