Curtis Lee Meade, age 85, of Van Lear, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at Highlands ARH.

Curtis was born March 11, 1936 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of Oscar "Pat" and Fannie Spears Meade. In addition to her parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters and one son-in-law.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Madelyn Collins; one son, Kevin Lee Meade of Paintsville, Kentucky; one daughter Kerri Angela Conley Ratliff and husband Rick; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Friday, March 26, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 27, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Masonic service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021, by Van Lear Masonic Lodge.

Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV.
