Danny Joe Daniels, age 78, of East Point, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026 at his home.

Danny Joe was born September 15, 1947 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Joe Jack Daniels and Earlene Nelson Daniels. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Steven Michael Daniels.

He is survived by his wife, Bonita Lou VanHoose Daniels; daughter, Leigh Ann (Robert) Daniels Ferugson of Staffordsville, Kentucky; granddaughter, Charleigh Danielle Ferguson and step-grandson, Caden Smith; and a host of brother & sister in laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2026 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Chuck Slone, Paul Wayne Browning, and Tim York officiating. Burial will follow in the VanHoose Family Cemetery, Nippa, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026 and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2026.
