Danny Burl McCarty, age 69, of Colista, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Highlands ARH.

Danny was born June 7, 1954 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Burl McCarty and Roberta Lemaster McCarty.

He is survived by his wife, Tobianna Stapleton McCarty; one son, Daniel Matthew "Matt" McCarty of Lexington, Kentucky; two daughters, Cindy Denise McCarty and Kelly Dawn (Corey) Melvin all of Hager Hill, Kentucky; one brother, Johnny Gene (Eva) McCarty; nine sisters, Karen Colvin, Emma Faye VanHoose, Janie (Alberto) Colon, Lenora (Morgan) Bowen, Shirley (Van) Cope, Debbie (Joe) York, Jackie McCarty, Shelia (Clarence) Stapleton, and Brenda (Jay) Daniels; three grandchildren, Dakota (Taylor) McCarty, Summer Danielle Melvin and Sarah Beth Melvin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Brad Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
