Visitation: 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 and 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home

Burial: Baldwin Family Cemetery, Route 580, Oil Springs, Kentucky

Charles Darrell Baldwin age 67, of Staffordsville, KY, passed away peacefully at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY on Sunday, May 16, 2021 following a sudden illness.

Darrell was born July 5, 1953 in Johnson County, KY. He was the son of the late Curtis and Shellie (Reed) Baldwin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son Charles Anthony Baldwin.

He is survived by his loving wife of  35 years, Shirley (Thompson) Baldwin, one daughter, Christina (Donnie) Conley of Louisa, KY, one brother, Curtis Harold (Earlene) Baldwin of Staffordsville, KY.  He is survived by two dear nieces, Shellie Jane Baldwin of Staffordsville, KY, and Samantha (Michael) Ratliff of Staffordsville, KY, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

He was converted in 1977 and was a member of the Old Little Paint United Baptist Church in Oil Springs, Kentucky.  He was an employee of the F.S. Vanhoose Lumber Company in Prestonsburg, KY for 25 years.

Darrell will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends, however we take comfort knowing that he is resting from his labors and will be waiting with the saints of God when God calls all his children home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in the Old Little Paint United Baptist Church with Elder Rob Baier, Elder Michael Thompson, Elder Rutherford Blair, and Elder Sam Reed officiating.  Burial will follow in the Baldwin Family Cemetery, Route 580, in Oil Springs, KY.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 and 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
