Burial: Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky

Daryl Clyde Julian, age 75, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.

Daryl was born October 16, 1946 in Warrick County, Indiana, son of the late Claude Julian and Dorothy Hart Julian. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, James Julian and four sisters, Gayle Glascock, Claudia Frazier, Guylene Roberts, and Hannah Sutton.

Daryl was a proud United States Army veteran serving in Vietnam from 1967 until 1969. The medals he received were Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Republic Vietnam Campaign w/Device 60, Army Overseas Bar, and Bronze Star Medal. Daryl loved fishing, spending time with his family and grandchildren. Daryl was a member of Tom's Creek Free Will Baptist for 20 years and England Hill Free Will Baptist for 3 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dolla Lu Brown Julian; three sons, John (Joyce) Julian of Enfield, Illinois, Charlie Clyde (Christy) Julian of Lexington, Kentucky and Rhys (Sydney) Julian of West Liberty, Kentucky; four daughters, Kim Julian Carter of Carmi, Illinois, Beth (Scott) Salyer of Ashland, Kentucky, Jamie Julian and Amy Bowling both of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; one brother, Carl Julian of Carmi, Illinois; two sisters, Anna Sneed of Carmi, Illinois and Anita Pettay of Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren, Hannah Biggerstaff, Balinda McKinney, Kylee Julian, Miley Julian, Dominique Webster, Landon Spears, Karlee Spears, Lauren Bowling, Alexsis Julian, Logan Julian, Austin Salyer, Tristan Salyer, Madison Julian, Macy Julian, and Brody Julian; five great grandchildren, Chase Peyton, Brennan Biggerstaff, Levi McKinney, Lincoln McKinney, and Lexton McKinney; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with James Kelly Caudill and Chuck Slone officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022.

Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV.
