David Lee Carte, age 70, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at his home.

David was born August 8, 1953 in Fayetteville, West Virginia, son of the late Woodville Harrison Carte and Jewell Dooley Carte. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Lynn Green Carte; one son, David Kain Carte of Shady Springs, West Virginia; one daughter, Amber Dawn Kirk of Hico, West Virginia; six brothers, Charles, Wayne, Steve, Allen, and Rob Carte all of Hico, West Virginia and Kenny Carte of Florida; one sister, Crysty Linkenholder of Hico, West Virginia; and four grandchildren.

Memorial service will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church with Ernie Johnson officiating.
