David Christopher Paine, age 83, passed away Monday , December 12, 2022 at Home .

David was born April 8, 1939 in Providence, Rhode Island, son of the late Phillip Paine and Alice Hepburn Paine.  He is preceded in death by one sister, Janet Paine Belanger and her husband, John, and his father and mother-in law, Pluma and Patsy Pelphrey Blevins, one sister-in-law, Georgene Salyer and her husband, Dallas, two brothers-in-law, Harold Cecil Blevins and Dorris Franklin Blevins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Imogene Blevins Paine of Staffordsville, Kentucky, whom he married June 29, 1974; one son, Conn Franklin Maynard and wife, Janet, of Meally, Kentucky; two brothers, George Paine and wife, Ruth, and Daniel Paine, both of Warwick, Rhode Island; one granddaughter, Jodi Maynard-Lewis; and two great grandchildren, Philip Conner Lewis and Jaiden Maynard, all of Meally, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Roger Blevins and wife, Joyce, of Staffordsville, Kentucky; five sisters-in-law, Neva Whitt and husband, Donnie, of Lexington, Kentucky, Opal Ward and husband, Jeff, of Paintsville, Kentucky, Anna Blancett and husband, Dillard, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, Edith Haley and husband, Jack, of West Van Lear, Kentucky, and Sina Mae Blevins of Oil Springs, Kentucky, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

David graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School in Warwick, Rhode Island in 1956 and then joined the U. S. Air Force in 1963.  After serving his time in the military, David then went to work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base where he retired as a supervisor over restoration of airplanes for display.  He was a member of the Episcopal Church in Providence, Rhode Island.

We wish to extend a special thank you to the caregivers, Mary Blanton, Claudia Webb-Adams, Cil Gamble, Joyce Estep, and Vickie Blevins.  Their exceptional care provided to Dave and to his family during his illness will forever be treasured.
