Della Joyce Brown, age 80, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at Riverview Health Care.

Della was born January 21, 1942 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Junior Brown and Josephine Hannah Brown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, James McCoy Brown.

She is survived by three brothers, Ollie Raymond Brown of Swamp Branch, Kentucky, Leroy Brown of East Point, Kentucky and William Dorton Brown of Riceville, Kentucky and three sisters, Phyllis Ann (Grover) Hammonds of Paintsville, Kentucky, Mary Alice (Stanley) Burchett of Stambaugh, Kentucky and Jackie Lois (Cort) Daniel of River, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Joe Scott and Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022.
