Delmar Leeroy McKenzie, age 56, of Stambaugh, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Delmar was born May 1, 1968 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of Edna Jewell Burchett McKenzie and the late Roy J. McKenzie.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters, Breanna McKenzie of Paintsville, Kentucky, Talisha McKenzie of Dayton, Ohio and Susan Litton of Powell Addition, West Van Lear, Kentucky; fiancé, Beverly Sherman of Stambaugh, Kentucky; one sister, Kathy Faye McKenzie of Stambaugh, Kentucky; one brother, Edgel Castle of Ashland, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Autumn, Keilahni and Kiason.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie and Chuck Slone officiating. Burial will follow at McKenzie Cemetery, Route 993, Nippa, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024.
