Burial: Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky

On the morning of Saturday, March 11, 2023, with family by her side, Delores (Deedee) Doster, 81, of Paintsville, Kentucky passed away peacefully following an illness.

Delores was born in Johnson County, Kentucky on January 11, 1942 to the late Willie and Estella Staniford. She was a beloved wife to her late husband, Chief  Petty Officer William Doster who served 20 years in the United States Navy.

She is proceeded in death by one brother, Johnnie Staniford, two sisters, Myrtle Dorton and Nancy Mollette and one very special niece Deloris Arrowood.

Delores is survived by her loving sister Mary E. McKenzie, a special nephew that was like a son to her William McKenzie Jr. fiancé Dawn, a special niece that was like her daughter Johnna Lynn (Eddie) Williams and a special cousin Bonnie (Eckel) Meade. With a host of nieces and nephews.

The world will be a little duller without her bright smile and giving heart.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
