Deloris Gail Stamper Skaggs, age 70, of Lower Twin Branch, Denver, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Paintsville ARH.

Deloris was born February 28, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Jim Stamper and Billie Jean Brooks Stamper. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Vencil Skaggs on January 22, 2022, two brothers, Tim Stamper and Jospeh Stamper and two sisters, Patricia Stamper and Vanessa Stamper.

She is survived by two sons, Vencil Lee Skaggs and wife Janet of Flat Gap, Kentucky and Danny Skaggs and wife Tiffany of Denver, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty Millard and Carol Bowman both of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, James Riley Stamper of Knoxville, Tennessee and Caleb Stamper of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Lee Skaggs, Apryl Skaggs, Cole Skaggs, and Holden Skaggs; two great grandchildren, Nehemiah Skaggs and Abigail Skaggs; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Deloris was a longtime Paintsville businessowner of Johnson County Glass. She worked hard her whole life but loved spending time with her family more than anything and they will truly miss her.

Celebrating her life service will be conducted 12:00 Noon Sunday, August 14, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Skaggs Family Cemetery, Lower Twin Branch, Denver, Kentucky. Friends may call at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 Noon.
