Dessie Faye Barker Baldwin, age 86, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at  Paintsville ARH Medical Center.

Dessie was born May 14, 1938 in Paintsville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Millard Barker and Edith Owens Barker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Eldon Baldwin; three sons, Ernest, Randy, and Charlie Baldwin; one daughter, Melissa Blanton; and two sisters, Marie Back and Ivel Conley.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Blanton of Paintsville, Kentucky, Denita Baldwin and Lecia Baldwin both of Oil Springs, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Wilma Owens; one son-in-law, Danny Blanton; thirteen grandchildren, Deymon Harvey, Jessie Blanton, Matthew Blanton, Daniel Shane Blanton, Randall Baldwin, Joanna Aikman, Kyle Blanton, Quinten Tyler Hitchcock, Destiny Blanton, JJ Blanton, Zachary Blair, Ethan Hall and Angelecia Baldwin; several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Mike Greider officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Family  Cemetery, Oil Springs, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2024.
