Donald Ray Butcher, age 68, of Wittensville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Donald was born July 17, 1955 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Wilburn "Curly" Butcher and Fannie Lois VanHoose Butcher. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Don Allen Butcher.

He is survived by two sons, James Butcher of West Van Lear, Kentucky and Jonathan Ray Butcher of Offutt, Kentucky; two brothers, Larry Butcher of Wittensville, Kentucky and Michael Butcher of Cary, North Carolina; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024.
