Donald Eugene Salyers, age 76, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Paul B. Hall Medical Center.

Donald was born August 15, 1944 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Simmie and Ethel Pauline Tackett Salyers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, and five sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Cantrell Salyers; two sons, Gregory Scott Salyers of Sitka, Kentucky and David Eugene Salyers of Calera, Alabama; two grandchildren, Brett Tyler Salyers and Corey Ryan Fields; one brother, Thurman Gale Salyers of Wittensville, Kentucky; and one sister, Rita Cantrell of Staffordsville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021, 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021.
