Donna Jean Tackett, age 84, of Paintsville, passed away in the presence of those who loved her so much on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Paintsville ARH Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 11, 1941, in Sitka, KY, to the late James Earl and Gay Daniel Webb. On June 30, 1962, she married Roger Tackett, who preceded her in death on August 20, 2021. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Barry Tackett (May 12, 2019), and two brothers: Ernest James "Ernie" Webb and David Lee "Smiley" Webb.

Donna is survived by her nephew, Benny (Fayetta) Tackett of Pikeville, KY, sister: Diana (Gary) Scadden of Perrysburg, OH, niece: Elizabeth Laeng and family, and Brenda Melvin Williams of Louisville, KY, nieces: Katherine Mayo and family, Jennifer (Brent) Lackey, and Bethany Williams.

As well as those special caregivers, Paul and Stephanie Stapleton, Haley Leapaldt, Amy Davis, Hannah Stapleton, Kierra Stapleton, and Andrea Dixon.

Alongside her husband, Roger, Donna was the owner and operator of Tackett Tire in Paintsville. More than anything, Donna loved sitting on her front porch listening to the wind chimes and watching the birds.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Larry Blair officiating. Burial will follow at the Tackett Family Cemetery at Staffordsville. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday.
